Everyone wishes they could write that perfect song that would catche someone's eye and I guess I am no exception. It appears all I seem to write about is the lost love and heartaches. If I could just put into words the love that we share in our marriage, what a perfect song it would be.
I Know That Sounds All Wrong
I'd like to find the words, To jot down the perfect song, I seem to write of heartaches, I know that sounds all wrong.
Why can't I write of true love, What belongs to you and me, A good old fashion love story, Meant to last through all eternity.
Why can't I write of truth, Understanding between two, That fifty fifty relationship, Thats shared by so few.
Why can't I say how we snuggle, Love each other through the night, Why can't I find the words to share, Of a love so pure and right.
I can't put these words together, To make that perfect song, I only right of heartaches, I know that all sounds wrong.

Why can't I write of truth, understanding between us two, a fifty-fifty relationship, shared by only a few...I'm singing this just like I've known every word and cord. I like this a lot! Why not use the lines I've mentioned as your chorus....it has so much meaning. I changed a few words to fit with my tune...hope you didn't mind. Love it!!
There may or may not be a song in this, but marital bliss has all the makings of a beautiful song. I think you nailed the beauty of love perfectly - I know that all sounds wrong "nailed."
In our hearts we can capture how much we care for someone but when we try to express it just never seems good enought...but to the one we care about it sounds like sweet music to their ears if they love us the same way.

I don't think it sounds wrong at all, Rose; I think it sounds perfect! At least you can play music and write songs; the only thing I can play are the spoons! LOL No joke! I also can't read music anymore; I used to, but not now. Oh, well--at least I can still sing! :) Very well done; brava!

If you're used to hearing country music than it's probably because that's what is most common to hear. You'll have to get creative, but I think you'll do it! love Holly
