Just Around The Corner

The weather feels so cool outside,
I wonder where's my  winter boots,
I found my hat, my scarf and mitts,
Even my warm bright red snowsuit.

I found my shovel and my salt,
Prepared for what we soon will see,
For just around the corner folks,
Will be Christmas for you and me.

Out in the town are the shoppers,
Going about with such glee,
Buying the perfect gifts for all,
To place beneath the Christmas tree.

Such a beautiful time of year,
An amazing birth we all celebrate,
With lots of gifts and many lights,
Desserts and birthday cake.

When we go back through time,
To the birth of this tiny new born King,
We realize what a joyous season,
As we join in the choir to sing.

The brisk breeze felt upon our face,
The snowflakes fall form the sky,
But when we take the time to think,
The celebration for this season we cry.

For here is our heavenly Father,
Watching over us night and day,
Loving each of us unconditionally,
So we could live this life today.
