Strangest Feelings Came Over Me
The strangest feelings came over me,
As I got out of bed today,
I felt I was in this enormous hurry,
That something was in my way.
I stood and thought for a moment,
But I just couldn’t seem to see,
Last evening there was something,
That you so kindly asked of me.
The thoughts were quickly lost,
As I went on my own merry way,
But the strangest feelings came over me,
As I got out of bed today.
My memory kicked in at 5:45,
But soon it would be time to go,
I turned the oven on 375,
Thank God it wasn’t too slow.
Your food it is ready, just in time,
You’re cleaning the car for to go,
Your quiches are ready just in time,
You hardly had time to know.
I should have realized early,
When I jumped right out of bed,
The strangest feelings came over me,
Playing those games in my head.
