From Across The Ocean

Strange how soothing yet romantic the sounds of the ocean waves can be as the breeze from the waters sensually massage your body making you quiver at the thoughts in your imaginary mind. A loving yet in a way sad feeling left in your heart, almost lonely.

   From Across The Ocean

From across the ocean I hear it,
The whisper of your voice loud and clear.
I feel you breathe against my skin,
I know in my thoughts you are near.
I long to embrace you once again,
To feel your warmth next to me,
If only I could hold you again,
But life won’t set my heart free.
Lonely is the heart that I hold,
For it cannot be, I am told,
No room to let another dream in,
Not the time for new life to begin.
I hold my thoughts and the tears I cry,
For another day when I feel you near,
My memories of another time,
Shared with the lonely memory I fear.
I listen to the waters splash,
I know it is you who have come,
For I feel the touch of your embrace,
As my heart beats like a distant drum.
Know that in my heart and my mind,
Is a spot I hold open just for you,
For the types of love in the world,
I hold in my heart just a few.
The wind  the ocean and my memory,
A secret meant for the breeze  so free.

Rose, I didn't thought that I was whispering so loud...
But the message arrived without the help of that bottle on the waves.

Well written and from the heart where only true romance writes can come from. This has it all, unrequited love, the ocean, a yearning, longing wish that cannot be fulfilled and yet with a knowledge that in a different place and time...love could have lived. Very nicely done dear cuz with much betweeen the lines.
