Hot But Hot Enough

I felt the heat come from you,
As I stood so close to you,
The kind of heat that got so hot,
I didn't know what to do.

I began to quiver as I watched,
At your very sight,
And soon you would be ready,
Things would be just right.

Then I'd have to find a way,
To cool you down so I can taste,
Every little mosel that you offer,
There'd be no room for waste.

Just because you're small,
Don't mean I'd toss you away,
I'd accept you as I swallow,
Nothing will go astray.

I like to add a little spice,
A flavour we can share,
We start off  with something hot,
As we add some tender love and care.


So as I watch you heat to a boil,
Overheated  with my touch,
I pray that all will enjoy the food.
That I didn't cook too much.
