Sometimes we may wonder why we do things or go where we do in our lifetime but I believe it is all part of who we have become , it is the path we are suppose to take in life such as any ex's that have played a role in our life. Was it a mistake or a regret, I don't think so.

To Get To Here

He led me to another time,
Where I knew I didn't belong,
Even though I loved the moment,
I knew it was all wrong.

He held me close and whispered,
Words I longed to hear,
I swallowed every second,
For this moment we could share.

Am I sorry for my actions,
Have I something to regret,
No I'll hold my memories sacred,
For what I will never forget.

I'll see you in the darkness,
At night in dreams I have,
If I have stepped out of bounds,
For this I will be sad.

But in my life of ups and downs,
In all I say and will ever do,
I will never regret the special times,
I've had  to share with you.

All the things we do in life,
Are part of who we've become today,
The memories to get to here,
Are what led us astray.

Rose--you and I think so much alike.
Every moment, every memory make us who we are today.
But I love the way you can embrace the good and bad.

How do we know if it's the right path if we don't sometimes leave it? Ah, the coming back, though. Sweet, peaceful, etc. Good.

So true, as we journey along this path of life, with all its twists and turns there is always a reason why we were led there. Under God's guidence, love and understanding all whom we meet help to mold us into the person we are today and the journey will continue....

Be always safe,
Karen

Words of a person who had come to self-realisation, so true, so wise...nothing is a mistake

This is a wise write, for it takes a hard look and an open heart to realize what comes and goes in reality can last a lifetime in one's heart and one's memory. Our mistakes, our transgressions, even our sins mold us and teach us and make us the people we are. This write says a lot openly and between the lines. Well done Cuz.

Rose,
I love the sentimental fragility of this poem. Whenever a relationship ends, there's always a time of uncertainty, when the decision is questioned, and then, once that time has passed, we're usually able to look back and reflect upon the relationship, seeing the good times and ignoring the bad, while content to be moving on with our lives.

Thanks for sharing,
Jill

If knowingly one does something not right, then it is in order to say sorry, if not...everybody are entitled to trip over a lose floor tile.

Rose,

Love and its repressive voices - between the liberty of release and the inclination to be bound lies the realization of whatever the heck happens when pheromones seize the brain.

Nice interpretation of the tryst of the heart.
