Anyone that has had the chance to know me and my ability to grow flowers or plants of any sort knows that my garden conains artificial only, for my green thumb ain't so green and it would be a shame to let me destroy God's beauty.

Into My Garden

Stepped into my garden,
For Spring will soon be here,
Thinking what I would plant,
At this time of year.

I could plant some Tulips,
Maybe some Pansies or Sweet Pea,
Maybe I’ll bless it with a Sunflower,
Or as simple as the precious Poppy.

Maybe I’ll put in a waterfall,
Maybe an Angel, or just a few,
A rock garden right in the center,
With a Rose bush or two.
Maybe A bench to sit and relax,
When the sun comes out to shine,
Oh what a peaceful spot,
If only in my mind.
For I don’t have a green thumb,
What I plant just withers away,
I guess I stick to artificial plants,
That will last for more than a day.

Artificial or real, your beautiful mind will 'plant' a beautiful garden

Rose,
I think you'd grow bushels of flowers if you read your poetry to them. Your thumb would not need to be green, the green would come from the song in your voice and the brightness of your lyrics. Lovely,
Terry

Well, you may not have a green thumb, but you've sure got a green pen, because things are growing like crazy in my mind while reading this.
--can't help remembering my mother and her all green presence. She was the epitome of a green-thumbed gal... here's to her.
A fine write! --Charlie

go with wild flowers in a box and throw them down each spring in the same place. Do nothing but water the ground the first week and then let them do their own thing. It may not be you it may be your soil...LJ

Hey Rose,
There's hope for ya! My mother was a green thumb and I was not until just a few years ago when the magical touch decided to lay its blessing on my fumbling fingers. I now have an indoor southwest atrium overflowing with blooms. However, nowadays your right, you can't tell the difference. Go out and plant to your hearts content a mixture and no one would be the wiser! Cheers, Deborah

Lovely poem dear cuz but as I look out on my back yard covered in a fresh new layer of the fluffy white stuff it is still hard to picture the flowers and shrubs that will sprout there in a few weeks but you have walked through my garden out back and my magic path between lilacs, roses, quice and flowers and know that it will happen eventually. PRobably be starting when you get here in June.
