I guess when we sit back and start thinking of our fears, we wish there was some way of getting past them, someway of being stronger than we are. Not everyone admitts to them and not everyone has faced theirs. I am slowly pushing myself.

Poem Artwork

Hidden Obstacles

I’d like one day to be a horse,
So strong and running free,
Not a care or hidden fear,
Just a strong and healthy me.

Right now I am a kitty,
 still running from all things,
Nervous almost all of the time,
Till I’m playing with shinny things.

Sometimes I feel just like a tiger,
Fierce enough to take on all,
Until I feel that I’m afraid,
Then off to safety I do crawl.

Everyone suffers of fear,
In one way or another,
yes every single parent,
Along with each sister and brother.

They may not admit to it now,
Until one day they face their fear,
Then they’ll come to understand,
Your hidden obstacles my dear.

Rose, fear is hard to overcome...it can make us weaklings if we allow it too. We have to keep our heads up and fight with all we have in us. I loved the way you brought this whole poem together...in truth, sincerity, and wisdom. Your writings bring out so many truths in life...I truly enjoy them.

Being a kitty is fine, Rose! Enjoyed the way you wove fears into this awakening poem...so many truths. One thing, when you age you've learned to overcome all fears...just face them head-on!

The emotions you express so very well are those felt by all as the journey of life continues, some admit it, some don't, yet we all must face our fears and hopefully become the stronger for it....

Be always safe,
Karen

I try not to be afraid, but am not always so brave. Snakes scare me tremously, and I freeze when I see them. Grandson Jon has one in his home, a ball python. Ugh!!! Scared to death of it. Nice write and good day to you have a great one.

Yes dear Cuz we do all have our hidden and in some cases open fears that we must learn to deal with. Only a fool would say they don't have any fears in this world. You have the right attitude though and this write I am sure will help others think a little more about at least attempting to face our fears for that is all we can really do.

I am an elephant and with my size, there is no place to crawl into when one gets a fear attack...better to be a little kitty...
