Strange how we come up with our writings at times, I said I couldn't think of anything to write about and asked for a topic, this is what I got. Here goes.

Poem Artwork

Out Behind The Woodshed

Most people won’t ever know it,
Bout the story gone untold,
About out Behind the woodshed,
That day it was so damp and cold.

You came around the corner,
I knew that you would come to see,
I felt your hand upon my breast,
Your attention set on me.

Wasn’t sure of what you’d expect,
But I’d not run or turn away,
I’d give you what you wanted,
I was ready for some fun that day.

You never turned to kiss me,
But your touch was soft yet strong,
Those surprises out behind the woodshed
I never felt once that it was wrong,

Oh if others only knew,
How naughty we were that day,
Out behind the woodshed,
Where we touched in a precious way.

Another memory to add,
Another mark with my pen,
Another daydream to dream,
Another thought that won’t end.

This brought a grin ~ intriguing title; I thought I was going to read about "the old days" when children would get "a whippin'" out behind the woodshed. This was a delightful surprise!

I have lots of wood shed stories, but mostly entailed Deer draining. But my "Up at the Pines" are nice memories ;)
I am glad I never found out about a "behind the wood shed spanking" though :)

Out behind the woodshed...I think we all have those memories from some secret place where we learned about life, and those days when we had to cut a switch for our parents from behind the woodshed...the secret memories made it little less painful while cutting the switch and knowing what was coming! Enjoyed this much my friend!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Rose, this is has such great rhyme and rhythm in it...and I of course, loved this romantic poem. I totally expected to hear that your Dad gave you a spanking out behind the woodshed but was I in for a surprise! Loved it.

This story is such a delightful tale. I was always told that out behind the woodshed is where beatings for wrongdoing commenced. Sweet memories to savor always....

Be always safe,
