All too often we use the word UNCONDITIONAL without thinking about the meaning of the word. It is used lightly and it really bothers me. When we use the word UNCONDITIONAL there is no room for BUTTTTTS. I am not perfect for there was only one who was perfect but I am indeed a good person who try my best to help, love and accept others.
UNCONDITIONAL
What is the meaning of this word,
Do we really take it to heart.
For some use it without thinking,
While tearing others all apart.
It doesn’t stand for hurt and pain,
Nor jealousy or hate,
It doesn’t stand for bitterness,
Or swaying others, NOW just wait.
Love is Accepting and Peace,
It’s Understanding and Joy,
Compassion and Forgiveness,
Trusting others, this is WHY.
It’s right or wrong, it’s yes or no,
Its as simple as can be,
Yes we do or no we don’t ,
Love others UNCONDITIONALY.
You cannot say I do BUTTTT !!!!!!
There are no Conditions or Demands,
Just Acceptance and Compassion,
It means I LOVE you and I really UNDERSTAND.
These words come straight from my HEART
For I loveall Unconditionally.
Very wisely put, there should never be any conditions put on love or loving someone. We all though have our own ways of showing and expressing love and the wise lover learns how the other expresses there feelings so that there is no misunderstandings.

Rose, this poem was quite timely for me. The word "unconditional" gets told to me too often with little thought to what it actually means... After a tough wkend, I realize some only know how to spell the word, do I'm happy you wrote this... painfully honest isn't it? lindalaw
An exceptional honest & truthful write - unconditionally carries a lot of weight and it's not something that should be stated unless it is really meant. When someone says this to me, I instantly wonder if they'll live up to their statement. This is a great write!

there are conditions to other relationships, I can still deeply love the persons in these other relationships & I do, but if a condition is violated & abused incessantly & violent I can not love them the same, I leave. Forgiveness is a great gift to give to others & give to ones self. Your poem gives great words of insight Rose.
