A Star At Night

He says I'm his little Rock Star and he loves to hear me sing, last night he was a bit upset as I thought I heard him scream. I felt an elbow hit me and the words he seemed to scream, "What are you doing Rose" loud and clear, then I awoke to find I was at home in bed and it was just a dream. But I'm nick named now the Rock Star, lol.

A Star At Night

I held the mike up to my mouth,
The crowd shouted for more,
They thought I was so perfect,
It was me they shouted for.

The songs that I have written,
So willing with them to share,
At first I shook and shivered,
As I stood there alone in fear.

I watched them as they swayed,
To the words I sung out loud,
Until I got nudged from one,
One dissappointed in the crowd.

He elbowed me and stopped me,
In the middle of my song.
I knew right at that moment,
I should’nt, in a dream sing my song.

As I lay there thinking of my dream,
That seemed at the time so right,
I guessed others have a right to rest,
Without noise from a Star at night.

Now I’m known as his Rockstar,
He smiles at me all day long,
He claims he loves to hear me sing,
At night it seems all wrong.

How's the guitar coming? - I see you've got the lyrics! If only I was a "pop" type I could count on some cash coming in... but God put my musical head together oddly. You've been SO prolific...posting a lyric/poem a day!
I'll try to keep up with it....best, michael

Great write Rose. Keep right on singing.
You can always keep those elbows at bay with twin beds you know.
Ah, the sacrifices a star must sometimes make.

Sounds like singing in the daytime, folks are a little more appreciative, especially your husband. I really got a kick out of reading this. Great.

The North star is the first star out at night, very strong in appearance. I think you are so strong in your songs and writes, you deserve this title. Keep on singing in the rain or out of it. Beautiful writes you post too.

They said that if the Island of Tonga ever get to host the Olimpic Games their Queen (they are a Kingdom (?) ) will belt their national anthem, so, if she can dream so can you, although I would prefer to hear you rock anytime than her high C's.
Keep on dreaming! ! ! but please, can you sing something for us?

Georg
