How Thankful I am
As I sit in silence and ponder,
What life seems to have in store,
I think of all the things in life,
That I seem to really adore.
The sound of babies crying,
To know they are a living child.
To watch their temper tantrums,
Makes them seem so very wild.
The flowers and the trees,
The brooks and little streams,
The birds as they sing for us,
Knowing these aren’t just dreams.
The animals running free in the forest,
The trees so tall and strong.
The raindrops falling from heaven,
Everything where it belongs.
The stars that rest among the clouds,
The rainbows adorn the sky.
The thoughts of all life’s beauty,
Just makes me want to cry.
How thankful I am for what we have,
So sad of what man is destroying each day,
They don’t seem to think of the tomorrows,
For which they will dearly pay.

Much Love & Happiness To You
Embraced ~ Embrassé

For which they will dearly pay.
It will be our children and grandchildren who will pay for all our destruction today, and such a sad thing that is.
How right you are and this poem reminds us all what a mess we've done. When I was young, (a very long time ago!) I used to chase
fireflies in the early evenings but now they're can't be found anywhere except in the virgin forests of far remote islands, away from man...the most dangerous animal.
