Do We Forget

Do we forget or just pass time by,
Do we cause a tear or wipe one dry.
Do we smile or cause a frown
Do time stand still or go round & round.
Are we a friend or a foe,
Do we help others where ever we go.
Do we understand in a way,
Or do we forget day after day.

Are we kind and considerate,
Do we love instead of hate.
Do we have an open  arm,
Willing sharing all our charm.
Are we where we truly belong,
If we are then we can’t go wrong.
Are we kind and caring in every way,
Or do we forget day after day.

Do we shelter the homeless,
Feed the hungry each day,
Do we help clothe the naked,
When we have to go out of our way.
Do we just turn our heads,
Hoping they will all go away,
Have we done all we could,
Or do we forget day after day.

Do we forget just because
We have all life’s pleasures and joy,
Can we ignor the horrid sounds,
Of anothers hurti and tears they cry.
 Do we think of those out there cold,
When we lay in our soft cozy beds,
Can we feel there hunger and pain,
and  their wishing they were dead.

Tell me  do we forget,
Or just hope that it will fade away,
Can we not give a little ,
To help make someones day.
A slice of bread or a blanket,
A warm coat or a dollar bill,

 Just something that will matter,
To help another from being ill.
