We Are Entitled To Our Words

I’ve read a lot of writes here on AD,
With some I sadly disagree.
But all isn’t written with me in mind,
That is so plain to see.
With those I kindly just pass by,
As they have the right to their say,
The thoughts within their hearts,
On any given day.
It don’t make them right or wrong,
It makes them an individual you see,
For everything they share with us,
isn’t written just for me.
You keep writing your words,
For they are yours alone to share,
If I don’t like what you write,
I can move on to another with care.
What I think about a topic,
Is my freedom of speech and how I feel,
It doesn’t mean I’m right or wrong,
It doesn’t mean I’m fake or real.
I don’t have to be nasty with my reply,
There’s no need for a nasty word to say,
I don’t have to read your write,
But retun on another given day.
I was raised to believe in respect,
For our Seniors are our Mom and Dad,
To be disrespectful to them,
Just makes my heart so sad.

I totally agree! It's funny those people who will leave a comment as an insult to a post which is just their opinion, or send a PM about a post which “ruffles their feathers” lol
I have asked myself why some people like to grind an ax with a stranger they know nothing of debating over the poets creative juices? lol I am not polite though when challenged by erratical comments. I get amused & very wordy with them :)

Some of our Seniors have alot to answer for, but even so, push come to shove, it's still up to God himself, to dole out whatever is coming to them, if they weren't good during their young years. As one who suffered the cruel violations from a small infant to a grown Adult..The old adage comes to mind, " Be kind to you children, for they will inevitably chose your retirement facility" I have to smile at this, knowing that my two eldest children, both work in the Nursing industry, one especially in the aged care, the other studying to be a Registered Nurse/Doctor.. I am already getting lectures on making arrangements for the future and what should be taken into account!! They're Quick these days, with all the answers, they think. I would love to provide aged care for my Parents, they may just find they get a pleasant surprize. Forgiveness is a marvellous thing ;)

SPOT ON! The most effective form of censorship is not reading. Thankfully, that's not the case, here. LOL By not responding to the hatemongers, they will eventually get the message and move elsewhere. Well said, my dear!
