Home with a View
From The Past

Looking through the back door
Of the place we once called home,
At the beauty of the lighthouse,
Now sitting baren and alone.
I can still feel the breeze,
From the shore straight ahead,
And hear the whispers of the waves,
As I slip to dreamland in my bed.
The clouds fill my bedroom ceiling,
As the blue sky cast my dream,
Just like the baren lighthouse,
As the light for ships shine a beam
A beautiful painted picture,
Cast a dream alive and true ,
A vivid picture of the past,
Another life that we once knew.
Then I awake from my dream,
Of the view from outside my home,
With a smile upon my memory,
Here in another time in life alone.

I especially love this verse, which makes me feel the lulling effects of the world outside the bedroom.
"I can still feel the breeze,
from the shore straight ahead,
and hear the whispers of the waves,
as I slip to dreamland in my bed."
Beautiful. Connie

So beautiful. I can feel the salt air surrounding the lighthouse. It must have been a wonderful time. You sister is very talented.
