This started off to be another poem but among my words I heard a tune and so it became a poem/song Country of course.

Walk with me awhile to our destiny,
Tell me that you love me like before,
Tell me that it’s meant to be,
Hold me in your arms for evermore.

Darkness is just a shade,
Teardrops just a little rain,
Hold me in your arms,
For evermore again.
Tell me I was only dreaming,
Our love hasn’t gone astray,
It was just a just a dream,
For we’re together still today.

Must be sung with that kind of twang in the voice to make the song a sweet thorn in the heart that we don't want to pull out.
