No Loose Threads
June 23, 2009
Written by: Rose Marie Rideout

You worked so hard through the years
No matter what it took from you,
Always putting yourself aside,
To make dreams for others come true .

You never did anything Half way,
It was your all or none,
Whatever you did was your best,
You always did for each and everyone.

No loose treads to be found,
Nothing unfinished or half done,
You believed in your ability to do things,
Your best was always number one.

How many took time to noticed,
Has one ever showed how much they care,
There was always me, that saw your work,
When you were tired, I’d wiped away your tear.

I looked into your worn face from sleepless nights,
I held those work worn hands so tenderly,
I cried for you when you weren’t watching,
Because I knew you did this all for me.

Never loose threads to finish the job,
No mistakes you have made along the way,
Only a smile that said how proud you were,
That you have successfully made it another day.

Years have gone by and yet you still smile,
You sit and ponder over  the past years of your life,
As we leave no loose threads to the love in our lives.
The tender moments between us, a husband and a wife.
