Just one of these early morning rises. Wasn't too sure of what to write and share but here goes.

Books by the Score
September 5, 2009
Written by: Rose Marie Rideout

I sit here in the early morn
My mind with many words are torn,
I lift my pen to jot a word or two,
I read it back, sounds like so few.

I stack my books, One by one,
For writing has been so much fun ,
I can’t seem to sleep at night,
For writing to me feels so right.

Excitement forms within my heart,
When pen in hand the writing starts.
You never know what it will share,
At times we really don’t care.

It could make one laugh or often cry,
Sharing emotions is what we try,
Show a little of our hidden heart,
Is a wonderful way for us to start.

It's such a great feeling when the words come and so frustrating when they don't. Your poem is great. Cheers! Liz

Beautifully done, Rose! It really is wonderful how writers are inspired by either something...or nothing at all. The words just seem to come together. Loved the lyrical flow of your poem too.

Hugs,
Anna

Yes I have had many nights and days like this but the beauty of a writer is even with a stub of pencil and a napkin we can capture the world we see...

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
