The Doctor put me on new pain pills that I think I will not take, I would prefer the pain to hallucinations.

Hallucinations
September 9,2009
 By: Rose Marie Rideout

In the middle of the night
When all are fast asleep,
In through the halls
I saw it clearly creep.
Taking my every breath,
I was so scared,
The only thing I could do,
Yes dear that was to call you.
I opened my eyes,
To watch you jump from bed,
To look out the hall,
At what I did dread.
You came back in,
as I watched it still swirl,
The smoke in the hall,
was crushing my world.
All is ok, just a bad dream,
I’m sorry I woke you,
With my loud scream,
Now what will I do.
I cannot seem to sleep,
Somehow I just can’t rest,
I may as well get up,
and do what I feel I do best.
So here you have it from my pen,
The one thing that truly scares me,
To start hallucinating of things,
That aren’t really there to see.

OH man, a mind playing tricks on you for any reason: pain medication, psychosis is not fun. Get rid of those pills. Liz

Smoe medications can unfortunately do that to a person. Its great you realized what was happening...I believe in ghosts, do you?...M

Sis I can't imagine on the horror you must have felt, thinking the house was on fire, so please do stop taking those nasty meds.

Love you sis,
Selena

I would like to say when things like this happen
it is the brains reaction to what is going on (the medication invasion)
not everyones brain will tolerate chemicals the same
your brain didn't know what to do...it is better to feel the pain than harm the brain....
I am glad you are ok & doing better rose

Yep, they can have that effect. I won't take them anymore. You did a great job with this poem Rose.

I know that the pain killers can have this affect but all things will pass in time. Besides it gives Fred something else to tease you about.

Wow! I don't like taking any kind of pills either, Rose. You certainly took me into the nightmare with you. Very well penned.

Yikes! Not good, Rose, not good! I would tell the doctor about the hallucinations; that's scary! Hope you get relief from your pain (and the hallucinations); you're in my prayers, (((Sweetie)))! Well penned!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(
