My friend just started working not far from here and she had her car parked at the Mall and this lady parked next to her drove out and took the whole front end of her car. She has been now three days without a car and this lady is free to drive.

Where Do They Get Their Licence
September 30, 2009
By: Rose Marie Rideout

Parked in a space at the Mall,
Just biding my time,
This lady decided to drive away,
Taking my car across the line.

She left my whole front,
Resting upon the ground,
As her truck made the turn,
She hauled my car around.

Ya she drove out,
But she couldn’t see,
She ripped off my front end,
That didn't please me.

Now she seems to be still driving,
I am left without a car,
I’m trapped sixty Kilometers from home,
To walk would be too far.

I could use a change of clothes,
Some meds would just be fine,
Tell me where they get their licence,
Not the same place I got mine.

Some folks weren’t meant to drive,
For they haven’t got a clue,
To wrecklessly wreck anothers car,
A licence just won’t do.

I see them standing in the line,
All hoping to pass their test.
Waiting patiently one at a time,
They wast to pass so they can rest.

Just young kids, driving today,
Make you think twice of being in their way.
Not knowing the rules or understand,
The road belongs to every woman & man.

Now I start to understand what Road Rage comes from, we should start wearing bazookas in our belts and take out those brainless licensees! LOL

You're absolutely right to write this one Rose! It's unbelieveable what I see on the road around Moncton too. People think only of themselves and sometimes they're too busy to stop long enough to think at all. Great job...sorry about your friend's car.

Rose,
The misery and frustration and sheer inconvenience (not to mention the damage) and the rightful outrage that the culprit gets away with it. Have we given up caring and taking responsibility completely? George's final comment is very worthwhile.
Well said, Rose!

Maybe out of crackerjack boxes ... driving scares me. The idiots on their cells or TEXTING, for pete's sake - thought eating and putting on makeup bad enough! A rant justly viable, Rose, and very well penned - I hear ya!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I appreciate your frustration. Drivers seem to get worse and worse. I've long thought that road rules should be broadcast on TV constantly to keep drivers aware and thinking. Cheers! Liz

Those who don't know what they are doing behind the wheel should have their licenses revoked--FOR GOOD! And those who purposely drink while driving ought to be punished with the severest form of the law! Sad!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

If it was your life they took maybe they wouldn't care either. If people can accept abortion why should they be concerned about wrecking a measly car. We can become what we accept.

Dear Rose, This poem is a wounderful creation, as many people do not have even a licence, but they can drive as you describe it. Brava my friend. Love Emile

Well you nailed your friend's story pretty good on this one Rose, and yea I have to wonder where some folks learn to drive to begin with. Worst of it is I am not sure if it is still the way but when someone rammed me one day as I was backing out of a parking space...theinsurance told me parking lots were 50/50.
