So many have given their lives for us in the past, the present and will continue in the future. We pray for our men and women everyday for their safty. We will always honour and respect them for they are true HERORS.
To Honour & Respect,
Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow November 11, 2009
By: Rose Marie Rideout
Through so many years you've given
Not just your love but your lives,
Unselfishly, you have suffered,
So that we may live freely.
Yesterday, Today and many Tomorrows,
You promised to protect,
Not just today but everyday,
You our HERORS we forever respect.
Tears are shed through our days,
Many prayers are continually said,
Loneliness has taken over,
And will continue, we dread
We thank you for your every breath,
Your heartbeat every second,
With respect we remember you each day,
Your love and honor will never be forgotten.
Rose,it is so true we should all pay our respect and never forget those HERORS who have tried so hard to make this place a better world. Not just for us but for everyone, they should alway stay in our hearts and prayers. For they are the TRUE HERORS,and we all owe them so much respect. It is because of people like them that we are able to have the life we have.We are so lucky to beable to live in a country without war.But we owe this all to our HERORS ,let us never forget them.As alway this poem is so well written,

Today I went out with my brothers and sisters to put a picture of a young soldier as well as a flag with ten poppies on the grave of a man who I have always admired. Yes, my Dad, your Uncle Felix who I know if he were alive would appreciate this poem and your love and respect. Lest we never forget.

I pray the tides will turn and that we will remember that war is just so horrific that we MUST find ways to evade it and learn new ways of dealing with conflict. Ingratitude adds insult to death and injury - I salute your poem, your tribute and your heart in this, Rose. Thank you. xx
A grateful salute from this daughter of, sister of, niece of, cousin of Veterans, as well as a USAF Veteran, myself. The cost, the cost, the terrible cost of freedom, paid by those who believe in freedom. God bless them and their families; we owe them more than mere words can say. Well done, Rose.
