Oh Poppy How I love You

Innocent little children,
Knowing they have to part,
Holding on to every second,
before parting crushes their little heart.

Just one more kiss Poppy,
I hate to leave this way,
But daddy’s work has called him,
So we must leave today.

I cry, because I’ll miss you,
Hope time won’t really last ,
And the two year posting Daddy has,
Will go by really fast.

But you can come to visit,
I’ll share my bed with both of you,
I’ll cuddle right in the middle,
Just the way I use to do.

Please don’t be sad Poppy,
I’ll always be your little man,
I’ll love you more and more,
Maybe one day I will understand.

Why my heart has been broken,
Why we all shed the tears we cry,
Why we have to be apart,
 So many questions why?
