Dreams Can Seem So Real

I had a dream the other night,
I didn’t know what to do,
The dream had several strangers,
But the main Character was you.
You had forgotten for a moment,
That I was a few feet away,
And then you hurt me deeply,
As I watched you with this stranger stray.

Who was that woman standing there,
Why did she look at you that way,
Why did you feel the need,
For this stranger, you did play.
You helped to fix her collar,
As your fingers moved down low,
You felt others looking at you,
You saw me standing there & slowly let go.

I thank the Lord up above,
He woke me just in time,
For when I thought I’d lost you,
I felt I lost my mind.
I know that it was just a dream,
Tell me how did it come by me,
For losing you don’t cross my mind,
Our Love’s for eternity.

Now I sit and wonder,
If there’s a message in my dream
If I’m  about to lose you,
I know I’d turn cold and mean.
You aren’t just my husband,
For you have become my life,
Therefore, for evermore,
I want to be your loving wife.
