It's a shame that so many after so many years can't seem to make it through, finally after so long, they accept it's over for good, sad but often it happens and one finds it hard to face up to it.
No this has nothing to do with Fred and I. I just write what the picture tells me.
Words Cut Deep
March 09,2011
By Rose Marie Rideout Just like the blood that runs through my veins,
are the words you leave behind as you step ahead,
They hurt like a knife as I watch you silently
Stepping away and I lay alone in our bed.
I watch quietly as you pick up the pen,
You slowly write the words you hold in your heart,
Those brittle words that cut deep,
The words you should have said from the start.
I cry tears as I hold my chest,
Waiting as you slither like a snake on your own.
As you wander with an overnight bag, you’ve packed,
And leave me here in the darkness of our dreary home.
Yes I have seen it coming for far too long,
Though I confess, I have done nothing wrong.
I wait to read the words you have left behind,
Words cut deep in a empty love nest is all I find.
Been there, done that! And it is difficult to face the end of a relationship one thought would last forever...no matter what the reason for the break-up....nicely done, Rose!
I love this one, Rose. I'm glad that Fekix stated that these words were not about you and Fred... This, to me, of all that you have written, this may be the finest.

You always rise to the occasion when I give you a challenge or a picture to work with and this is no exception, well done dear cuz....I know it is not about you and Fred but you found a way to become your character as you wrote to feel and make us feel the emoitons of desertion... well done.

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.

Namaste
but a fine piece in its own right
as you see and explore the pain
of separation, staying and leaving.

of the picture--yea, sad enough to make a grown man weep. -gene.
