All Alone am I
June 25, 2011
By Rose Marie Rideout
It’s late at night and I sit here,
Alone, wondering do you really care.
Where are you at this hour of the night,
Why do I feel, things just aren’t right.
I know it’s not a woman,
That you are out to see,
There’s no one else in this world,
You could love more than you love me.
I’m use to you always being here,
Each night to hold me tight,
It’s getting late and you’re not home,
Tells me something’s just not right.
I try not to think of terrible things,
That could quickly take you away,
For I couldn’t stand to lose you,
I couldn’t go on day after day.
So I’ll rest here in our bed alone,
And wait for your safe return back home.
You’ll kiss my cheek and cuddle me,
You be back where you were meant to be.
