Off To School They Go

School goes back today,
I guess it’s plain to see,
The streets will be so quiet,
Not seen or heard by one kiddie.
Their books are all ready,
Their lunches packed to go,
For they’ll be so excited,
As off to school they go.

Mommies will be smiling,
A sigh of relief upon their face,
As each child will be running,
to the bus stop in a race.
You’ll see little Freddy
and Shelby will be in tow,
They’ll rush to meet their friends,
As off to school they go.

Some kiddies will be smiling,
Others will shed a tear,
For it will be their first day,
They’ll wander off in fear.
Little Krystal will have her first day,
Connor will show her all around,
They’ll meet to tell their stories,
Out on the big playground.

Brendon will be lonely,
As he waits at home alone,
While sissy Kaylee goes with friends
And he is left at home.
His day will surely come
He’ll have a book bag in tow,
Right now he has to watch ,
As off to school they go.
