I have a picture hanging in our washroom and I thought it was cute and naughty, so I thought I would share it with you.

Them Smoking Kitties

June 2, 2025

By Rose Marie Rideout

Somehow you knew it,

That you were doing wrong.

Hiding in the bathroom,

It's not where you belong.

Lighting up those cigaretts,

Puffing on them with your friend.

Being so sly & mischeivious,

How could you both pretend.

To be such precious kitties,

When I went away from home.

Trusting you both would behave,

When I left you all alone.

Now you're caught in action,

The smell of smoke is in the air.

You've made a mess to tend to,

Tell me little kitties, do you really care.

I don't know how to punish you,

How can I make you see.

That puffing on those cigarettes,

Will never be healthy.

Great little poem about that striking photograph of kittens sneaky name cigarette in the bathroom. And a lesson for teenagers so inclined, to see their favorite little kittens engaging in naughty behavior.

A bit of tongue in cheek comedic irony, too.

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani
