What a day of silence means to me.
Silence January 23, 2026 By Rose Marie Rideout Silence So peaceful Not a sound to hear Not a voice to be heard The electricty is now turned off So many hours seem to be passing by But it is still very comfortable in our house We are all so happy and cozy here Listening to nothing at all now Watching the birds fly Just thinking awhile As we enjoy the Silence

You're so very right. Suddenly, our busy, noisy lives change drastically when the power goes out. Everything goes silent except for the occasional twitter of birds.

I'm glad you are taking it so well. I hope it doesn't persist to the point where you start to get cold in your cozy environment.
