A hand
in the sand
of creativity -
Oh soft movements
how you vibrate to the sound
of vital music
vivid
Strange:
Precision and waves
Soft focus
(not vagueness)
a flow of you
on the screen
Uncovered
Your hand
Cleansing through the mud
of old life
Covering discovering
The light we fight for
Clarity that has to be
with acceptance of darkness
Tamed
by the will
to live
Again
and again
Wipe away
Tears and dust
Waves of bright
Brown and light
Creating
Redeeming
Recovering
The beauty of life
until the end
Is to be
an eternal beginning

I really like this-- seems I've been reading much about dunes lately... and sand, and new beginnings. But come to think of it, if life's an infinity loop-- never really beginning, never really ending, just stepping through veil after veil after veil, in a constant stage of becoming, then life is very much like a living dune-- covering tracks, filling our shoes, clinging crystal grains of memories powdering our clothes-- our eyes... and then the dune shifts, and voila-- a hidden treasure at your feet... I'm not familiar with Ferenc Cakò, but he moved my dune an inch via this poem. --Charlie
I love the way this is so multi layered both in format and possible meanings. The hand could be interpreted it as the hand of God or even the spirit of humankind depending on your frame of mind at reading. Either way well written and defiantely somthing to think about.

Dear readers, this is my third book of poems, and inside are a special collection of what have turned out to be not only MY personal favorites, but also the favorites of many of YOU. Some of these have never been available in print before...
David Hightower’s lyrically expansive meditation on the whims of fate and the unpredictability of the human condition fill the pages of THE HANGING MAN DREAMS with thrilling music and mesmerizing imagery. Hightower’s richly infused voice echoes the e
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.

I love the paradox of the truth of that statement.
Shifting and changing with the sands of life...great metaphor!
