the day was taken to that place in the mountains that I put there as a background for your dreams tonight
then right in front of you I arranged the world to open on a bookshelf
where you can choose the story that you want to (believe).
I don’t know how to give that to you
you lost it somewhere
-- somewhere
meaning --
a distant cry
darkness falls and maybe I’m giving it a helping hand
a helping spirit
to go with the clouds
to awaken the dark wind
the movement that pushes you
--open
open that book
it fell from my heart
I heard it
thump
and dust and the dry wings
of a moth
like you - attracted to that somewhere
unlike me - the will to be its slave
and settle that
secret door in the depth of a painting
(the one I gave to you)
meaning --
you lost it somewhere
I’ve done all I could
arranged the world on a shelf
painted a door in the background
took the day to that far-off place
where you lost it
and I lost you
--somewhere
It's as it should be......to do all you can and to finally walk away in the end....because often you can end up staying a bit too long, and then you end up losing yourself. Love your work, Axilea.
An interestingly expressed view of depth Axilea...those meanings where you actually become lost within the loss of another, or the realization that the other has lost everything that is defined along the depth of reality and then one realizes they actually lost everything....somewhere along the way...
Axilea - Loved the images and metaphors you create here in DEpTH. Especially liked the image and the sound of:
open that book
it fell from my heart
I heard it
thump
and dust and the dry wings
of a moth
and the melancholy repetition of, "you lost it somewhere" that inhabits the poem.
Liked the powerful, thought provoking lines at the end, too.

your twists and turns are almost too much......but like a trail of bread crumbs........ i followed very interesting write,i would say clever but it's beyond clever more superb than clever...it's Axilea again ...doing what she does best capturing the reader ...

Ouch, this one hit close to home and deep into my heart...the word images you created are fantastic but the feelings of knowing you did all you could but in the long run it just wasn't enough for it takes two to open and walk through the door of love.
Great abstraction poem-- blurry images eventually brought forward and focussed.
Again, the atmosphere is rich and powerful-- wistful and lightly emploring/mourning.
The title is super clever. One thinks "death?" and upon reading, there is an ending feeling-- closing an open book again-- the death of a story that could have been-- perhaps of a relationship that dwindled into nothingness. I love the run-ons, and the vagueness of "somewhere" that has definitive meaning in the end. --Charlie
Dear Axilea, It is not always possible to help someone, and particularly, someonw who we care for. Its a huge responsibility to open the door for someone else if he or she does not open it for himself / herself.
Congratulations, I hope I understood you. You are always deep in your creations.
