Dying Cherry (in a cold, cold world)

Red velvety drop
vivid cliché that stains
the hopeful fabric of life.

Some lost their mind chatting
undone the chains of common sense.
Some lost their soul in virtual battlefields
killing without the grip of responsibility
masturbating without the meaning of sex.

Red blood-cherry fallen
from a weakened mother stem
and a weaker weekend father image
corroded by self-pity.

Some lost their reason for living
phony men unable to build for tomorrow
broken women too thin to stand and be.
Sum of syllables that cannot form a word
loss of dynamics, unpragmatic solitude.

Yes; I think the problem is so vast that I often say that the whole world is out of control. Your words certainly reflect the problem, the tragedy. It is a tough love we must accept but maybe feel compelled to help it. Thanks Axilea, your abstract thought procss is refreshing.

Relying on a man for security these days is like playing the lotto. I see the educational statistics, men vs. women. Women are advancing and men are collapsing. Who know why? Some sort of accountability gap I suspect. Not to mention most men are idiots. Patrick

Axilea, Powerful words for what is
going on today and probably tomorrow.

This made me think of families... and how without strong family values our society becomes weaker and weaker. Each person looks out for himself/herself and there are few that invest in the future of tomorrow.
Thought provoking poetry...

You pose a lot to think about and draw conclusions from Axilea and as always your work is powerful and intense but so well done.

you CAN break free, run, and leave the broken and dying to their struggles--those, who are beyond your help, regardless

To me, Axilea, it's no coincidence you chose
this particular time to post this work, a time
when suffering's remembered.

Good to read you again, Axilea.

Almost sounds like the online world today, so many people lost in virtual worlds of war games, friend collecting and social competition that we forget how to open the door, go outside and live our real lives. Many directions of thought on this one, well done !

That is a vivid and convincing picture of a cold world/life that you have painted with your words, Axilea. Love and best wishes,
