Poem Artwork

fitted heavy jersey shorts
short-sleeved dress with waded skirt
left to wait on a Viking chair
long dead music in the air
/
scattered words, disorganized moves
flies left to die
on the marble floor
emotions like sparkles from a flame
only fly up, up, up!
/
while I’m missing from the room
meeting may be impossible
we are traveling apart
maybe not knowing
the portion of pillow
or sky blue cotton sheet where
there’s a curl of caramel hair
like a pin on a map
erased
/
yes, I’m missing from the room
entropy reigns
over our subjective science
poems interfere
/
thrown on the floor
coated apron skirt with raw edges
my feet doubt, but my hands never lie
washed cotton shirt for you
meeting is an impossible dream today
/
a camel in a box
you are homeless in my dream
inhabiting nothing
in a world obsessed with relativity
from my belly awakens the poem

uninhibited
:
entropy reigns and yet
for us it’s only bliss, where poems
interfere.

Entropy stirs the core of these thoughts Axilea. Very revealing view of our myriad roles including that of fantasy maestros. Imagination, our self regulated chaos moves our desirous self through the mundane and necessary elements of life to add verve. A wonderful exercise Axilea. You moved me from vital into conscious thought again for this day. I bid you love and peace. Jon Michael

So true, that last line. I love how you can be going through your day, and someone says one word, and BaM!, visions and arbitrary words collide with your thoughts, chaos reigns, and from deep within, your volcano erupts, spewing, simultaneously creating havoc and creating, birthing something miraculous out of nothing but a mental picture and words.

Perhaps God loves entropy as well as order. Aren't we all His chaotic little poems--verbs with faces?

You always make me ponder. --Charlie

worlds within a world; our fantasy life makes our reality more habitable and hospitable, somehow. Love the telling detail of the third stanza. The place where truth and fiction meet is often denial. As always, quality in both substance and execution, Axilea. xx

Your verses always leave me a bit out of breath, Axilea... ...and I mean that as a respectful compliment. Also, I love your bio photo. Love and best wishes,

Degrees of separation and closeness
in domestic familiarity,
torpor of habit and routine rather than physical
excitement or excitement relegated at least;
'subjective science' speaks volumes
and 'entropy' is a very loaded word.
Axilea, you are exceptional.
