Feeling Blue

Poem Artwork

What do you do when your feeling blue
Maybe cry mope slouch is on the menu
Or do you sigh grieve sulk and moan
Dying to engrave your own tombstone

The sky is blue FBI cars are blue
My teddy bears eyes are blue
A friend of mines kitchen is blue
Whats the color blue got to do with you

If you were feeling red would you still be in bed
If you were feeling green would you need some codeine?
If your feeling yellow would you go to the clinic pronto,
Feeling blue is not for feeling low stick to the colors of the rainbow
Blue is for jumping in and having fun all day

I am not as found of Blue as some people do. I love yellow, my favorite color. I do like the turquoise blue of the Bermudian Ocean though. Been there, seen it, adore it and have brought back some pink sand from it in a little glass heart to store it in on my dresser with a Bermudian penny for good luck in it.

I love your Boue and we can now add it to the other blues. Much enjoyed singing the blues with you.
Susan
Blue is for passions that some think are pink
Its the aqua in precious clean waters we drink
Its skies that are open with doilies of clouds
Its dark moods that cause us to weep out loud
Its Crayolas and craypods of lapis...blue-green
Its Mondays and weatherman's cable blue screen
Its wee baby booties on tiny pink feet
Its eyes that are calling for more chocolate sweets
Its the beautiful Nile River and sheer lingerie
Its the sparks that light midnight with comets that play
Midnight is black with hints of blue hues
Its suede in the lyrics of Elvis and shoes
Its the moon and it's radiance...the fireworks of hearts
Its polka dots visible when eyes shut out dark
Its navy, my color...its Robin egg blue
Its waltzes with lovers...on the Blue Danube

The color of blue is such a wonderful color, the color of the beautiful sky that God allows us to see daily, the ocean that we have the enjoyment of sailing, and swimming, and so many more wonderful things....great write Dave.

Dearest Dave,
I have a blue top on that says: 'I dream all day' ... So I'm feeling wonderfully blue then! I love the ending: suits my top .. and it's the first time i've worn it! Oh the beauty of synchronicity!!
Love and Rainbows Suzie :-D
Ps ... an image of a rainbow joining clouds is on it too ...

Excellent thoughts, Dave -- blue is for jumping in and having fun and for eyes and the Caribbean and for skies ... well done!

CJ

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
