For Benoit

It is said
That change
Is the only constant,
And there is no doubt
That good things
Often come with it;
But change hurts
And bewilders
When it is forced upon us.
At such times it helps to know
You have the support,
And the friendship,
Of those who hold you
In highest esteem.
I promise you
In time
The clouds will clear,
The sun will shine again,
And your days will once more
Be filled with the joy
You bring to others.
Your spirit will not be dimmed.

Rebecca, you've spun an imagery of change better enjoyed when by choice. Interesting read.
Be safe,

Rebecca,
Changes are a part of life, but when it's a forced change it can be tramatic. Excellent poetry, Rebecca.

Many blessings,
~Linda

Nice write and true...change is good, but better when it is by our choice or agreement, never when inflicted or forced upon us. Wise write, enjoyed...glad I stopped by this morning.
Blessings,
Joyce Bowling

Giving Myself 'A' Reason For Going On by RickthePoetWarrior

A homonymless man writes shows what it's like to look up the laid he skirts when you’re lying prone(d) to the sidewalk, beer / joint / needle dangling from your hand /lips / arm.
