Over my journals
Filled with more fear
And angst
Than hope
And dreams,
I realize
That Mark Twain

There are more regrets
For allowing life
To pass me by
Than for anything
I have actually
Experienced.
A thousand fears
Have held me frozen,
Able to dream
But unable to act,
And now that
My life is more
Than half over,
I can not bear to think
My remaining years

rebecca, this is such a touching write...a longing so many have and don't express. start with the smallest of dreams you have...throw off the bowlines and just make it happen by whatever means it takes...those that love you will support you...those thaat don't shouldn't matter. conquer each one and pray for the way to do it...it will happen. funny you showld use the term...bowlines...for we are stepping out in faith on an old sailboat we've refurbished and are almost ready to take off on one of our final adventures to unknown places...has taken 6 yrs...but was one of our dreams to make happen before one of us croaked. the process of making it happen has been an adventure of its own. don't wait...God made so many things for us to see and do...He'll provide the way and means if you ask and listen. annnd, you actually pull the bowlines onboard when you sail away...toss them to port when you arrive at your next destination....do it quickly :) pmedlin
