I have friends and acquaintances But come bedtime circumstances are different. I stand alone in front of the hall mirror Cheek to cheek with no one as I close the door and walk to my bed. Pulling back the covers I momentarily see him In my bed and my heart picks up pace, then I see it was just a shadow. Imagination working overtime. I sit on the edge of a big unfilled bed And wish when I lay down my head His strong arm would welcome me. I drift to sleep and wait for the new day to be.| The night over, only his cologne lingers, hovers; his breath warms my shoulder and I grow one day older As I wait for him to find and love me.

You write the sentiments of my heart and many others like me...
But this I know... God's timing is perfect...

This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
But this I know... God's timing is perfect...
