Journal entry—Aug. 16, 2005 Another letter came today And this one had lots to say: Aaron has been found alive and well. He’s been taken to a hospital in Germany Along with others who no longer have any Chance of making it. He was a lucky one, my only son, And will be home with us; a victory won! Me?I still pray for his safety and health. God has given me a lift In my soul; a grateful gift For me, a despairing mother. The timeframe for arrival has not been set Because he needs therapy, and yet I know he will make it and call me soon. I’ll shed my tears after writing this piece; Lord, grant me final serenity and peace. Amen.
Isn't it something...just knowing they breathe and can still share life, deep down, that's all that's important!

My friend was also sent to Germany after their humvee was hit by a road bomb. He was the only one that lived, but died three days later of a blood clot to his brain from his wounds. He was a lawyer, was called back by the army because of a fluke on his discharg papers, They said he was still in the reserves but found out later that was wrong. I'm glad this story is turning out well.
Timeless wisdom and advice on the art of living for today’s young and old: The art of thinking, the art of loving, the art of working, the art of leadership, the art of growing old.
