Missing You

What is it that you said?
That you miss me.
So, what does that mean?
Let me give you the words that escape me from time-to-time.
I miss your smile,
And all that it brings to my outlook.
I miss your voice,
And how the tone sets my mind at ease.
I miss your look,
And how those eyes see the world around us.
I miss the way you see life,
For all the faith and compassion that sets you apart.
I miss the poise, grace and charm that have become your signature,
And how every step you take brings you closer to the top.
I miss your support,
And how each and every word you speak makes a difference.
I miss the sparkle in your eyes, the way you carry yourself, the style that you convey in each and every minute you exist.
I miss the skip of my heartbeat, the loss of breath, the deepest sigh that comes from the soul, when I think of you.
I miss the creative spark that makes me dream of all that could be - dancing till the moon breaks to dawn, traveling the world over to see your light, racing to be with you when no other will do.
I miss your laugh, the song on your lips, the vibrant colors you paint for me.
I miss the professional demeanor and the personal way you give advice.
I miss Phoenix, anything Greek, the way you look in heels, and that gorgeous hair.
I miss the chance to pick you up at the airport, take you out to dinner, to talk away the hours.
I miss the times when you have figured it out, gone for the gold, and showed them what you’re made of.
I miss the moments, precious and few, when I can express how much I adore you and I miss those times when you make me feel special and needed.
I miss the phone calls, when we say so much without saying a thing, when rambling is so natural and words hardly begin to cover it all.
I miss knowing how you feel, what you think, and where you’d like to be.
I miss sharing, giving, and those splendid moments, after one of my gifts arrives, when you don’t know what to say.
I miss the way you make me feel.
I miss the times when I can only think of you.
I miss the way they look at you.
I miss the supercharged air about you.
I miss everything and anything about you.
I miss it all.
I miss you.
