(just a little fairy tale)

Once
there lived a fairy
named Tingle,
Tingle liked to chatter and mingle
with the other fairies,
as much as her friends varied
they never disagreed, just singled

out something they all thought
funny-
Tingle had ears like a bunny!
But she didn't mind, at least not outwardly,
she always sparkled so sunny.....

One day Freddie Fairy came to visit,
he didn't call first, he admits it,
and to his surprise he found his eyes
on Tingle wearing on her ears, mittens!

Mittens on her ears, why cover up her ears?
Thought Freddie Fairy, scratching his head.
Just then, she looked up and saw his
face frowned up,
and then she was filled up with dread.

'Cause a lot of the time, Tingle did mind
the comments made of her receivers,
and somewhere she'd written
if she kept mittens
on at home they'd act as decreasers.

Ohhh, the shame she felt now,
embarrassed, and how,
as she rushed to close up her curtains.
But Freddie Fairy said

"Tingle, it's OK"

and as her eyes met his, tears trickled

down her sweet face, her good friend erased
her misguided doubts of appearance.
So, from that day on
she would pay none
attention to well-meaning gigglers,
who love her still,
though tempering skills
now help discern what words deliver.

Tingle learned first hand
words can sting and hurt bad -
yet true friends will from hurt
deliver her...

Again you allude to the theme of friendship and how truly it is a treasure. This is a delightful "fairy tale," Rose. Thank you for sharing it. Love and peace to you,

Regis
