Sometimes poets write poems they dont understand - a poem seems to have no obvious reference to the poet's life. This poem seemed ominous when I wrote it - it has the aura of the old Highland idea of the 'second site'. I wrote it a few years back now using internal rhyme patterns borrowed from traditional Welsh and Irish poetic forms.
