Yellow Angel

Zanex, and anxiety form my past. I like to play with verb and noun descripters.
“Yellow Angel” Passing away this day, My mind numb my soul torn, My heart a wound. I have to take this yellow Angel to quite my mind. My yellow angel to bandage my heart. Nothing for my soul to mend it. Butterflies in my head, Tremors through my spine. Like bad nirvana, My eyes glaze, I see nothing. I wake to a dream. My body is heavy, so is my heart. Everyone staring at me. I see black phantoms about. I pray to God, Please help me. Give me an angel to clear my head. The god’s of war have come knocking again. God’s of war, why do you call? God’s of war, please leave me alone. God’s of war, god’s of war. God’s of war, god’s of war. Please knock no more.

This is a very compelling write and the capture of a person on meds shines.

You soung very troubled when writing this poem, or is it just literal? I found it fascinating though. cause I have been through the pain like this too. Sometimes the Devil haunts me and won't let me go, so i have to say GET AWAY FROM ME DEVIL.

I had to come back and read another, Kenneth, and I found this so compelling...the need for an angel to save you is a theme I am so familiar with thankful for. Keep penning...poetry can be a personal angel when you need one.
