It isn't easy to be me
Constantly keeping in check
The desire to run
Fighting the demons
That plague my existence
Wanting, nothing more, than to feel loved
Treasured and protected
Material things hold no value for me
They are temporary
Easily lost
Like untrue lovers
The cost of which
Is much too high
For someone as ordinary, as I
It's not easy, to know
Perceptions beyond the veil
Only serve to add weight
To the lonliness
The responsibilities
When that piece of my heart
Is still out of reach
Oh...I know Him
He, who knows my soul
Love and adore Him
Always touching
Yet, never quite able to hold it in place
Not time, yet......Not yet
Too many obligations to fulfill
Too many damned tears to cry
Every day, new wounds
Crucified, on the cross of denial
Nailed, by absence
Death, by the pain of desire
Yet, awakens the fire
Of a Goddess, searching for her children
Calling to the four winds of change
Beseeching the powers that BE
"Why, in Gods name...me?"
The answer, returned
By simple whisper
"Why Not?"
And I'm humbled
Knowing the hourglass sifts slowly
Its last grains of sand
As I await His hand
Outstretched and waiting
Preparing for that last overature
When He says........."It's time"

He would know it's time wouldn't He? It is a wonderful feeling if it was He who held out His hand. You were heaven sent and to heaven you shall return. Lovely write Krissy.Gregg
