Life can be so fleeting
It's done, in the blink of an eye
Yet, with the eternal circle
Does anything really ever die?

We pass from spirit to mortal
From mortal to spirit, again
Like changing your socks in the morning
Perhaps we just put on new skin

We are who we always have been
Our soul never changes shape
It's only the vessel it's housed in
Maybe, to hold it fast, from escape

For it's got to be quite the experience
To soar with the angels above
To bask in the glory of Heaven
Bathed in the Almighty's love

But there are lessons to learn, here
In no more time, than a blink of an eye
And only when my tasks are completed
Will it then be, a good day to die

*this isn't meant to sound bleak..actually it was/is a reaffirmation to my life. i spent this last couple of days in a cardiac trauma ward. it was frightening,until i realized that i know i am not done..therefore, whatever the problem was/is...it is not insurmountable. just a warning to stay on the right path. so......one thing i know i want to do..is tell all of you how much you mean to me..that i love each and every one of you. you have been my support, my muses, my loves, and my friends.
you have, each one, blessed my life, because you have come into it.
i'll be around awhile, but i just wanted you to know.
