It's the end of an extremely long day
Out in the sun, Now relaxed at the cafe
A 'jack' straight up, and the cool quiet air
Waiting for the 'group' to join me there
The glow of the drink, takes its effect
And I cast off the thoughts of things left derelict
The only thought, at the moment, it seems
Is the lover that occupies all of my dreams
How I wish, he were here, next to me
So I could share this quiet moment, satisfactorily
But, I know he knows, and he hears my heart
How much of my life, that he has a part
I hope he feels my warm embrace
Can imagine the look of love on my face
Despite the burn the sun left behind
My love for him burns hotter, in kind
Must be the 'jack' at the end of the day
That's causing me to reminisce this way
The thought of sharing my success and my smiles
With a man whose respect and love, beguiles
Makes my knees weak and my heart skip a beat
With the hopes that, soon, our embrace sparks a love most complete
For now, it's the end of a very long day
And i'm lost in a daydream of a love, far away

Hi Krissy,
All this lovely poetry, and me lying in a hospital bed,its enough to make a man ill missing this.
Better see what else I have missed.
lots of love.
