The snow and the wind caught the frame of my window
With bitter cold tendrils it wrapped itself ‘round
Creeping its way through the glass it awoke me
Fingers of ice, on the pane there, were found
The frozen air touched me and caused me to shiver
I reached up and closed the curtains up tight
I wondered if I should get up for a cocoa
But decided to stay in the bed for the night
I grabbed the remote… raised the heat on my blanket
Buried myself ‘neath the covers to sleep
Of all of the seasons, I think Autumn’s my favorite
But as for Winter, that’s one you can keep
my favorite also...very much enjoyed,Kristian.

With U.K. energy, bills going through the roof- (metaphorically) winter is now becoming a time to dread for those who are on minimal or fixed incomes.
