Beyond The Gates

to those who pass beyond gates
of viable, ancient mysteries
there is no loneliness, nor distance
in a chariot of mystic words
they journey past the present world
to fathomless depths, unexplored galaxies

hearts brush softly against each other
and souls perceive the call
of like unto like, deep unto deep

time is not an enemy to love
time is an illusion, a teacher of truths
a swift-footed harbinger of eternity
time is but a tool used to fine tune
the silent strings of the heart
and skillful fingers to pluck its music

memories are our former instructors
yet speaking…but now clearly
the mysteries they once concealed

there is no solitude in the embrace
of souls joined by strange familiarity
no miles, no oceans, no despair
no cold impossibilities can breathe
in the fervent heat of hope
no sorrow can long survive such joy
