Weary With Second Guesses

More Than A Memory By La Belle Rouge it’s so dark again weary with second guesses you speak in riddles you speak in riddles and never tell me the truth i’m less than nothing i’m less than nothing and hold no place in your heart so i learned to stand i have learned to stand upright on my own two feet but wish you were here i wish you were here miss you and your broad shoulder reassuring words reassuring words across the long miles and wires a heart to hold mine a heart to hold mine someone to kiss soul to soul i still ache for you i still ache for you and often wish you were here but you won’t be back no you won’t be back across the long miles and wires love can’t wait forever love won’t wait forever you prefer her memory to my offered love yes my offered love just can’t wait forever for you maybe she’ll return maybe she’ll return with more than a memory and ease your heart’s pain ©6/16/2007 La Belle Rouge “Poetry, Soul Whispers” Music "Reflection"

Need I say these were my favorite stanzas

reassuring words
across the long miles and wires
