Thinking Of You....

Poem Artwork

Art "Long Distance Love"
By Julie Zhuo

No One Dreams Like You
By La Belle Rouge

I thought of you today
the ever proper gentleman
the daring sensual lover

So far away yet close enough
to warm my heart

I pictured your boyish grin
and bare feet
as you posed in the garden

Then your most formal face
floating above your tight necktie
and well-fitted business suit

I offered,
“Let me make you comfortable”
as elegant fingers longed to loosen
tie and collar

And you asked “More than the tie,
more than the shirt?”

You said again... as you always do,
“Oh if I were only there”

And I said...as often I do
“But you aren’t here”

To which you replied,
“But if I were, we’d share a kiss
A warm, soft and tender kiss"

And I reminded you,
“But you can’t be here”

Your soft answer returned to me
“A man can dream”

“Yes, Dear One, he can,”
I whispered

You sighed....”Indeed”

Then you sent me a poem...again
I wept when I read it,
as I always do

For no one dreams like you

Sweet dreams, Belle... and ones that sound to be wholly based on the reality of a mutual understanding and oneness of heart and mind... Then is distance not something that can really destroy, but instead seek to enhance that depth of knowingness. Surely, it is just the fruition of the dream that awaits, not the dream itself. THAT is already being experienced. Shared dreams and visions are what create the deepest bonds. Wonderfully natural and easy conversational style that makes the reader feel welcome and a part of the warmth of this liaison. Bless you, Belle, Kate xx
