Star Flight
By La Belle Rouge

she boldly went
where no woman had gone before
to planets of pleasure
amid revolving moons of fantasy
she took him with her
to places he always wanted to go
unknown, unexplored
galaxies sparkled in her eyes

love and lust shimmered
in the universe of her poetic words
he learned from her
that heaven is a place on earth
where stardust drifts
on soft breath of a sensual breeze
jasmine and lotus scented
laden with the promise of adventure

he wanted danger
she was a fiery dangerous pastime
an uncharted country
of round hills and moist lush valleys
his secret obsession
and ticket to outer and inner space
one way star flight
to where he had never been before
