some things are too sacred
to share with an indifferent world
and yet….I have this insatiable need
to write of your dark eyes and how
they reflected soft pewter light
from a shy moon who hid her face
behind a white fan of gossamer cloud
as she secretly watched our tryst
we, being children of the universe,
creatures of nature, having no need
of usual firesides and featherbeds
I can yet hear the sensual sound
of the river lapping a mossy shore
I remember cool carpet of dewy grass
beneath my back and the warmth
of your skin melded against my front
seasoned lips that instinctively traveled
to the final destination of a languid trip
gentle whispers in the night becoming
moans of delight long before dawn
some things are sacred, unforgettable
worthy of the worship of poetic pens
Such eloquence spoken and felt in these passion searing romantic Poem Belle!
